Our Customer Services team offer a comprehensive service to tenants including assistance and advice in becoming a tenant.

Please contact Shire Housing Association who will be happy to provide assistance in completing the application form.

Shire Housing participate in the East Ayrshire Common Housing Register (CHR) which provides a greater choice for customers looking for a Housing Association or Council rented property in East Ayrshire.


Tenant Responsibilities

The Tenancy Agreement which is a Scottish Secure Tenancy (SST), details your responsibilities.

Repairs and Maintenance Responsibilities

There are some day to day repairs which you as a tenant are responisble for.   If you have any queries about this please contact the repairs section who will be happy to assist.

Utility Bills

At the start/end of your tenancy please ensure you take the Electricity and Gas meter readings and provide these to your utility company. We offer energy advice services from Citrus Energy via Cunningham Housing Association.


Home contents insurance is your responsibility. If you require advice or assistance this can be provided through the Scotish Federation of Housing Associations Diamond Insurance Scheme.
